In the very first episode of the Persistence of Vision podcast, I introduce myself and share my journey in video production. I discuss my initial hesitation about starting a podcast and how my experiences in video production and writing a weekly newsletter inspired me to create this platform. I reflect on my career, highlighting the valuable lessons learned from both successes and failures. I also talk about the therapeutic nature of writing personal stories and the importance of persistence in the creative field. This episode sets the stage for future conversations with other creatives, offering insights and lessons from my own experiences.
I've been listening to podcasts for probably the last 15 years, and for a while, I've been thinking about getting into podcasting, but really didn't know where to start.
My journey into podcasting was influenced by my experiences in video production and writing a weekly newsletter. I've been in video production for almost 25 years now, and I've had a lot of starts and stops along the way. I've learned a lot of valuable lessons. I've made some mistakes. I've had some successes, and I've had a lot of failures.
Writing personal stories has been therapeutic for me, helping me reflect on my career and share insights with others. I started writing these personal short stories that are sometimes humorous, sometimes tragic, but in every one of these, I wanted to have some sort of application at the end, like, what did I learn from it? This reflective process led to the creation of the Persistence of Vision podcast, where my goal is to share lessons learned through persistence in the creative field.
Be sure to listen to the full episode, leave a comment, write a review, and share it with others.
My plan is to release a new podcast episode every month.
