I’m glad you enjoyed it. I really debated for a long time whether to publish that story. But I wanted to encourage other people who have found themselves in similar situations and have felt isolated and alone
I'm making my first documentary at 62 with my kid, a young filmmaker who started when they were 9. They are one of those souls who've always followed the path of their own making. The journey I've been on making this film has been at least as meaningful as the film itself. I put away my creative side for a long time, about 40 years since I worked at being a writer. Focused on a "sensible" career and raising a family. Now is the right time, doing something just for me. I'm enjoying every minute of it!
A lot of what I write here is therapeutic in a way; me coming to terms with all that’s happened to me in my career and what it has taught me. Now trying to help others in turn
I've started my first documentary at 62 with my kid as co-director and DP. They're only 19 but have been making films since they were 9. One of those pure souls who's always followed the path of their own making. It's been an incredible journey thus far and the journey has been just as fulfilling as the film. It's just the right time for me. I turned off my creative self after trying to be a writer 40 some years ago and focused on career and family. This is for me and I'm so enjoying the ride!
Thanks for this. Now i know one less thing I'll get wrong.

Glad to hear it. Yeah, any creative project that I can do that’s just for me is incredibly fulfilling
Glad you did. You feel better know that you let it out?
